New Orleans

The view from our room on the 47th floor of the Sheraton, which is on Canal Street.

There are streetcars that run along the river and up Canal Street bordering the French Quarter.

This jester welcomes you to the ferry across the Mississippi.

The entrance to The Riverwalk marketplace.

Fountain just inside The Riverwalk.

Paddleboat docked at the Riverwalk.

The middle one is our hotel as seen from The Riverwalk.

A palm tree...duh!

The ferry.

My shadow on the Mississippi.

The Hardrock Cafe, New Orleans style!

Our hotel.

I thought D.K. would enjoy these pics, but all I got from him was a big helping of guilt.

Smile, Smart Guy. Really folks, he's not stoned!

The French Quarter...mostly Bourbon Street...during the day when it's not so wild and crazy!

A band playing in the middle of the street. They were very entertaining.

A partial view of Jackson Square.

A "tin man". He was griping at the crowd around him for standing and watching but not paying for the entertainment.

Smart Guy put some money in his can, and he's celebrating in this picture.

Artists selling their wares around Jackson Square.

Inside Jackson Square, a statue of Andrew Jackson.

The beautiful St. Louis Cathedral just behind Jackson square.
