How You Live by Point of Grace

Please take a few minutes and listen to this song. This song is what my heart struggles to sing daily. It reminds us of things that we should already know, but many of us forget... it doesn't matter what we do, it doesn't matter where we live, it doesn't matter how clean or large our house is, it doesn't matter where our house is, it doesn't matter how smart or well behaved our kids are, it doesn't matter how cool our blog is, it doesn't matter how big or cool our church is, it doesn't matter how involved in our church we are, it doesn't matter who we may or may not know, it doesn't matter where we came from, it doesn't matter what we did yesterday. What matters is how you live your life. I love all you guys (yes even those of you who read me daily and never leave comments). I pray for all of you daily. I pray that I get my heart's desire out to everyone... to make the world a better place for everyone by "how you live" your life.

How You Live - Point Of Grace

Verse 1:
Wake up to the sunlight
With your windows open
Don't hold in your anger or leave things unspoken
Wear your red dress
Use your good dishes
Make a big mess and make lots of wishes
Have what you want
But want what you have
And don't spend your life lookin' back

Chorus:
Turn up the music
Turn it up loud
Take a few chances
Let it all out
You won't regret it
Lookin' back from where you have been
Cuz it's not who you knew
And it's not what you did
It's how you live

Verse 2:
So go to the ballgames
And go to the ballet
And go see your folks more than just on the holidays
Kiss all your children
Dance with your wife
Tell your husband you love him every night
Don't run from the truth
'Cause you can't get away
Just face it and you'll be okay

Chorus:
Turn up the music
Turn it up loud
Take a few chances
Let it all out
You won't regret it
Lookin' back from where you have been
'Cause it's not who you knew
And it's not what you did
It's how you live

Bridge:
Oh wherever you are and wherever you've been
Now is the time to begin

Verse 3:
So give to the needy
And pray for the grieving
E'en when you don't think that you can
'Cause all that you do is bound to come back to you
So think of your fellow man
Make peace with God and make peace with yourself
'Cause in the end there's nobody else

Chorus
Turn up the music
Turn it up loud
Take a few chances
Let it all out
'Cause you won't regret it
Lookin' back from where you have been
'Cause it's not who you knew
And it's not what you did
It's how you live

'Cause it's not who you knew
And it's not what you did
It's how you live

I love this song! My husband and I dance regularily because of the line in the song. We both have two left feet and usually there is no music playing. A couple minutes a day does just fine for us. It is our moments in the madness to spend together, even though the kids are at our feet trying to dance with us also.

I was seriously thinking of posting this song on my blog tonight.

Events happened and I got frustrated and didn't.

Not only are the words relevant and important, but the tune in and of itself can lift my spirits!
