Waiting

Smart Guy's part of the meeting is over. The letter I wrote was read and he is sitting in his office while they discuss everything. The sad part is that one of the men whom I consider to be a prominent member of the church questioned one of the facts in my letter. How is it possible that they don't know the facts? How sad and pathetic!

So now, we wait.

The meeting is over, it is on the table and we will see what happens.

I did something that I have NEVER done. I read a piece of paper (Stacey's letter) without making eye contact.

Thus, I do not know what ws going on. I could not look into their eyes and look into their souls. I just could not do it.

I looked at them as I spoke from my heart. It did not reveal to much. As I spoke, I was just looking at individuals that I love and respect. Numerous young men that I would love to have friends .. Individuals who work with me as my ministry team leaders and gentlemen I look forwrd to talking to in the halls of the church. I love them all.

That is the tough thing. I love them, yet someway / somehow .. we find ourselves at this terrible crossroads.

Man, guys, I sooo soo hate that you all are going through this. Saying a prayer for y'all right now, even though it may be post meeting -I'm not good with time zones. But really really wishing and praying for the best for you two (and the kids) in this situation.

I can't imagine how your hearts are hurting right now...and I can't wish to.

So sorry you're having to go through this. More prayers coming your way.

I was listening to some music just now, and thought of you both. Eva Cassidy and Josh Groban did a beautiful rendition of "Time after Time".

"If you fall, I will catch you, I'll be waiting..."

Those words struck me really hard suddenly. We know who's there to catch us when we fall, and He is always waiting. =)

I will have to check out that version.

I liked the song in the 80's .. Good Ole Cyndi Lauper.

Interesting fact .. did you know that at least 97 different artist have done that song ??

It was also in the greatest and dumbest movie of all time ... Napolean Dynamite

Enough of dumb fact looking. Thanks for the words, Kimberly

I cannot imagine what you two are going through. I just pray that the Lord would open eyes and hearts and minds so that the right thing will be done. If it isn't know that the Lord still provides. He can and will take care of His faithful. I love you and have been praying.

I'm sitting here wondering if I should call and bug Smart Guy, since I now have your home # programmed into my cell...

But my call will not make a difference tonight, so I will just pray for God to provide for your family's financial and emotional needs during this crisis.

you probably could not get into our phone tonight .. it is sooo messed up and I am sure the beeping is revealing an important message that is waiting ... however, I can not even have the caller id to show who called ...

Live Sucks in So many ways at times. It is time for zzzzz land. Thanks for the prayers.

We will get a small heads up tomorrow and more convo on Monday and a meeting later next week

Saying prayers for you guys now and during the late night feedings (praying and watching Oprah are about the only way I stay awake some nights)!
