Guess what I discovered while I was doing Bee's hair this morning in preparation to go to the boys' school for their awards ceremony? Bee not only gave Bowz a haircut, she also cut her own hair. She cut a chunk of it under the long part on top so I didn't notice it until I pulled part of the top up into a rubberband. Needless to say, she had her beloved "Noggin" taken away for the day. Nope, no TV for Bee today. As soon as I noticed it and asked if she had cut her hair, she said "I'm so sorry Mommy."
What next? I have yet to find the hair anywhere. I'm sure she's got it hidden somewhere! Well, I've been a mom for 9 1/2 years and was a nanny for about 3 years before that and no one ever cut their hair before now... of course Bee is the first girl I've ever had the pleasure to raise, before my own boys, all my little charges were also boys....hmmmm! Yep, Bee is definitely the most high maintenance child I have ever loved!

Oh, Bee...did I not just say...at least it's hidden. #1 Son is the only one of mine to have cut his own hair (so far) and it was a similar hiding spot.
BabyGirl was pulling her hair about a year ago. Litteraly pulling out large chunks of hair. She would twist it around her finger until it was a tangled mess & I told her if she did it again, she was in serious trouble (after I nearly had to cut out one tangle & we'd been battling over it for weeks). About a week later I found no less than 5 big hair balls under her bed. She had pulled out so much hair that the left side was a good inch shorter than the other & much thinner. I cried in thinking how bad it had to hurt to pull all that hair out while laying in her bed. But it all resulted in the sweetest little hair cut just after Inkling's wedding.
O my daughter...
You need to ask your uncle buddy about the time he cut his hair...down to the skin fight in the front where the world could see...Your grandma 'bout had a cow...
Oh No!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Miss Bee..(ok don't tell momma, but when I was little I took the scissors to my bangs..I had less than a half inch bangs. Boy did I look stupid, and there wasn't anything they could do to fix it.)
And Bugaboo..Decided two years ago, that she had to have her haircut layered like her big sister. So she took a chunk out of the back of her hair..Needless to say I had to cut her hair and layer it to blend it.
I hope you learned a valueable lesson.
Hugs
Tech Mom has a similar haircut story, I do believe... bnot including the dog, though. At least nobody got hurt!
I hope you are feeling better! I can't wait to meet you in real life!!!!!!!
em used to layer her hair all the time. mostly on one side. i would look at her one day and think, huh, one side looks a little shorter than the other in several places. that's strange." the next day i would clean in her room and find tuffs of hair throughout. i've found hair in other places too - the dinning room for example. i think she's stopped now, but her hair is typically in disarray, so maybe not. :-) thankfully, hair grows back!
I cut my hair a couple times when I was little. And I cut all my dolls hair too....
Tech Mom does have a good hair cutting story. When she was little she had long braids (this was a long time ago) hehe.. and cut her entire braids off and hid them behind the stove when her parents were in the barn. She crawled in bed with her Grandmother who was living with them at the time for protection. It didn't work. The first thing you see when you walk in the front door is the stove - her mother saw it right away and screamed. She got a cute bob cut out of it though....
Oh boy! And so it is a girl thing..I too cut my long locks to a mere 3 inches...poor thing..Hope you find the missing hair soon.
