It's 28 degrees outside, wet, and windy... D.K. and Smart Guy are in the backyard throwing a frisbee around!! They're nuts!! Prophet's playing basketball, but at least he's got sense enough to set it up inside the garage where it's not quite as cold and not wet or windy!! Boys will be boys!!
There is one day of the year that when mentioned Smart Guy eyes glaze over and he begins drooling uncontrollably. On this day, he picks what he wants to eat and actually goes to the store himself to do the shopping and brings it home and very anally places it all into the fridge in perfect rows so that it will be refreshingly cold when needed!! This is the only day of the year when frozen Tyson buffalo wings will appear in my house. There's also chips, pringles, salsa, tortilla chips, cheese cubes, nacho flavored cheez-its, brownies, crackers, cheddar brats, and who knows what else is stashed down there in the kitchen.
He's practically pushing us out of the house this morning :) to get to my parents. He's got several guys from church coming over around 1:00, and all they are gonna do for the entire day is sit (well probably jump up and down yelling if you wanna get technical), eat, flip between ABC, CBS, and ESPN, eat, yell, flip channels, and eat some more!!
IT'S THE BIGGEST FOOTBALL DAY OF THE ENTIRE YEAR!! Smart Guy looks forward to this day like Prophet, D.K., and Bee look forward to Christmas morning!! I think it's funny!! Even after all these years, I still don't get how someone can stare at the t.v. screen watching a ball roam around the screen for hours at a time!! He loves his football, but he's not one of those crazy men that watches it everytime it's on, so I give him this day to enjoy!!
Well, we're outa here as soon as I can get everything packed and everyone dressed!! We're headed to Mom and Dad's until Thursday morning!! I'm sure I'll blog from there, so chat with y'all later!! Happy New Year!!
